Christmas at the Groseclose House!

Wow....Its been two months. BUT I PROMISE FROM NOW ON TO BLOG MORE ACTIVELY!!!

Well Christmas is almost here. Came so quick. I love Christmas, not only because of the gifts (80G Ipod Classic and a Kyocera Wildcard are what I asked for the most), but because of the happy feeling it brings. The music, the decorations, christmas lights, its all so happy. Like always our house is decked in decorations.
First:
Our little Christmas house village. Every year my mom goes to the craft fair and comes home with a nice little house to add to our village, this year she said the man who makes them wasn't there, it was sad not having a new one, but the village lives on.
Second:
The snowman display, stockings, and the little christmas tree. My mom loves Snowman so she has a bunch of them (duh) and each year on the mantle we put up that snow stuff and snowman. Stockings, we REALLY need a new stocking holder. A peg is missing, the rest are getting to that point. Its cute and has a little saying on it, but really, it needs to go. Our little christmas tree. No, this is not our real tree its just a little fake one we have that we hang antique ornaments on and ones we get as gifts, its really pretty, especially when lit up.

Third:
THE TREE!!! Oh yes, the tree, sitting next to piles of presents. There it sits wrapped in beautiful lights and gorgeous ornaments and....................... sadly...... TINSEL. Putting tinsel on the tree is always a big conflict. My mom likes it because its old fashioned looking and "sparkles". Us children (Lauren, Scotty and I) all agree that it is hideous and just hangs on the tree like some dead thing. Last year we won the battle and the tinsel didnt go up, but this year, we werent so lucky, and up the tinsel went.....maybe next year?

Yesterday my family, Vicki, and I all went to Half Moon Bay! We started off walking down to street stores (thank goodness they weren't antique stores). While walking we stopped at a little cafe and got some brunch snacks. After these delicious snacks we went to more stores, bought a few things, and then drove over to see the winning pumpkin of a pumpkin weight contest (it weighed in at around 1500 lbs.) The pumpkin was HUGE, it was about the height of Scotty. Around 3 we headed to Barbara's Fishtrap and got a FABULOUS lunch. I got giant steak fries and delicious cheese bread, I recommend this restaurant if you ever go to Half Moon Bay! (That's the restaurant behind my dad!) Following lunch we went down to the beach to go look at the ocean, but seagulls flocked the whole beach! My mom was terrified and thought they were gonna kill us, helping out the situation my dad reminded my mom about the movie "The Birds".Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket After the beach we got in the car and headed towards Fentons Ice Cream, but we saw a Pumpkin Patch and we just HAD to go! Everyone got their own little pumpkin, including a special red one for Scotty! This place was really fun. It had Bounce Houses, a Haunted House, train rides, hay rides, CLEAN bathrooms, and a place to sit down and have food, to bad we came at 5 when all attractions closed, but this is definitely somewhere to go another time! Finally, to unwind from a long day, we headed to Fentons and got some fantastic ice cream, this day was well spent!

Rock and Bowl and a NEW ROOM!

I have been pretty busy so I havent really been able to blog, but I AM BACK, and ready to blog! First of all Tuesday night I went to a Volleyball game for liberty girls at Carondelet, sadly, Lady Lions lost but it was still a great game. Also tuesday night I went to ROCK-N-BOWL! At Rock-N-Bowl you bowl from 10 to Midnight! It is really fun, and it is only 10$ to bowl for 2 hours! Rock-N-Bowl is also a school event so it is a great place to socialize, fun night! Oh what can I say besides, NEW ROOM, after living in the dark room down the hallway of my parents bedroom in the back of the house(doesnt that sound spooky?) I finally get to MOVE ROOMS! I am getting a new bed, new nightstand, new dresser, a closet, and a more central room! I am really excited.

Boomers!

Today my brother Scotty, my dad and I went to Boomers! At the beginning of the day we debated where to go, I suggested Winchester Mystery House, but my dad said we would go there another day. Finally, while driving around we decided to go to Boomers, and I am GLAD we did. Boomers is a Minigolf/Go-Karts/Bumper Boats/Arcade Place. Boomers is really fun! We started with Scotty and I getting 44 tokens and my dad got 12. I was on a roll today! The first game I played was a deal or no deal game. There were 16 cases with ticket amounts ranging between 1-200. I ended going all the way and had the grand prize of 200 tickets in my case. I was estatic. Then later that day I played a game where you roll a ball down a slide into little colored holes. I managed to get the ball in all 7 colors without going in the same color twice and won the jackpot of 100 tickets. I bet that game twice. In the end, out of our 861 tickets, I earned around 500 of them, imagine how proud I was! Well, my luck changed. After the arcade we went Mini-Golfing on the hard course. After the first 3 holes I had a lead, but then I chocked. At the end of 18 holes I came in dead last! My dad came in first with 52, Scotty came in 2nd with 62, and I came in LAST with a sad, ugly, terrible, wretched, messed up, horrendous score of 66. Even with this upsetting game of golf I still say my break started out FANTASTIC! I mean, atleast I can brag about my ticket earning ;D

Advance Camp!

Aw, Yes! After a long 10 weeks of school October Break is finally here! I am so excited! The break started out great, on Friday night I spent the night camping with my Scout troop in one of our scouts backyard. His house and backyard is great. His house is 3 stories and is really awesome, but his backyard is better. His family owns a lot of property so he had a lot of space! We ran around, sat around a campfire, jumped on a trampoline, played nighttime running games, talked, and played card games. It was great! The following morning we went to the Antioch Fairgrounds and went to something called "Advance Camp". Advance Camp is a day camp from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. What you do at this day camp is sign up to work on two merit badges for scouting and then you go to 3 and a half hour sessions and work on the merit badges. I worked on two eagle required merit badges: Citizenship in the Nation and Citizenship in the World! I ended up getting the Citizenship in the World and getting a partial on the other, I was really excited. After the camp we all went to In-N-Out and got shakes, it was a fantastic weekend!
